Answering all your wedding related questions.

Perhaps you have no idea what to do, hopefully these will answer some of your wedding planning questions, but really the best way to find stuff out is to get in touch with me and I can answer them personally. I look forward to hearing from you.

Yes I will organise all the paperwork prior to the ceremony. There is one form we need to fill out at least 31 days prior to the ceremony day and that is the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) forms On the day we need to sign the declaration of marriage (form 14 and 16) and also my celebrant registrar book and the Marriage certificate that i give you on the day.

I will bring my own battery operated PA system, you can play ceremony music through the system on iPod or iPhone… it is better for you to ask someone to operate the music on the day… I’ll be there 45 minutes prior to ceremony to make it happen… I also have a signing table with a lovely white cloth if you need it too…

The first thing that needs to be done is to submit a Notice of Intended Marriage Form (NOIM). This can be completed a few different ways, given that your Fiancé is Overseas.

1) You can complete the form and submit it to me, with your Fiancé(e) signing the form when he/she arrives in Australia – he/she can sign the form anytime BEFORE the marriage ceremony takes place.

2) You can have your Fiancé(e) complete the form (his/her signature must be witnessed by – an Australian Diplomatic Officer, an Australian Consular Officer, an employee of the Commonwealth authorised under paragraph 3 (c) of the Consular Fees Act 1955, an employee of the Australian Trade, Commission authorised under paragraph 3 (d) of the Consular Fees Act 1955 or a notary public). Your Fiancé(e) can send you the form with his/her signature witnessed by any of the above and we can finalise your section of the paperwork together. You can then submit it to me. Prior to the Marriage Ceremony I will need to see your ORIGINAL Birth Certificate or passport and also your Fiancé(e)s Passport and/or Birth Certificate too. If you don’t have these available now, that is OK, provided I see them before the wedding takes place.

It is always best to seek professional legal advice, relevant to your individual immigration situation.

I just need to sight your original passport or birth certificate.  If you are divorced I need to sight the most recent divorce papers, with date of divorce.  If you have current drivers license that would be great too.

I highly recommend a rehearsal, you will be so nervous and full of emotions on the day, it will run smoother if you know physically what you are doing. Also if you have family and friends from overseas or interstate a rehearsal really starts the whole wedding festival vibe.

My prices are competitive, I have been marrying couples for over 10 years. I will also deliver you a cracking ceremony on the day, refer to my reviews, get in touch for costs.

You bloody bet I do, I meet you and then draft up all the juicy questions to get all the juicy answers I can. Then I create a ceremony from all the answers and notes I have taken. We agree on an order before I write a ceremony.

Lucy exceeded our expectations every step of the way. She was always there to help and guide us with everything we needed to prepare for the ceremony, offering advice and tips about things we would not have thought about! She took the time to listen to us and understand our story. She never made us feel rushed, left anything unanswered and was always at the end of the phone whenever we needed anything. Her energy is vibrant and fun but also beautifully calming at the same time. She manages to be engaging and entertaining whilst keeping the couple in the spotlight. She created a ceremony for us that captured our relationship perfectly and had both us and the guests laughing and crying (happy tears!) at the same time. After the recent passing of my sister, we were looking for an officiant to help us with the service. We found Lucy Suze. And what a wonderful find she was. Her professionalism was matched by her empathy and an ability to connect with a room full of grieving people that she'd never met before. She asked us how we wanted the service to go and we said we wanted it to be light hearted. Lucy's tone was perfect. She read the eulogy and paid a wonderful homage to my sister whom she'd never met. She was caring and made sure that my nephew and I were looked after. Lucy is one of the funniest and most energetic Marriage Celebrants I have ever seen. She is a breath of fresh air in this industry and you definitely can't go wrong with getting her on your team. As a celebrant there is a fine line between being entertaining and not making the ceremony all about you and I think Lucy found that sweet spot perfectly!

Lucy was AMAZING! If you're looking for a celebrant or MC snap her up. My wife and I were lucky enough to have Lucy be our celebrant for our November wedding in Sydney. We're both researchers and so spent significant time scouring the internet for our perfect celebrant fit - then we found Lucy! As an LGBTQIA+ couple it was important to us that our celebrant and our rainbow guests felt confident and excited for our day. Aside from that we were looking for someone reliable, dynamic, enthusiastic who could bring a crowd together and manage a multi-emotion ceremony - with laughter and tears and everything in-between. Lucy delivered in spades. Our guests, including people who have worked professionally in the theatre and speaking industries, were blown away. Lucy did a remarkable job of balancing the joy and fun of the day with the emotion and significance of the moment. We all agreed that she set the tone for the whole wedding and got everyone connected, excited, and comfortable right from the start. Throughout the whole planning process Lucy was clearly very invested in creating a magical experience which felt like 'us'. She very carefully listened to any concerns we had (e.g. speakers vs windy outdoor wedding) and rose to meet any challenges. Our wedding felt like the perfect day and Lucy being a part of it made it even more so. From the first meeting we had with her she made us feel calm about the process and instantly understood and embraced our vibe. She gave advice, supported our vision and helped me pull off the ultimate surprise musical flashmob. She coordinated with our musicians, helped with staging and had our guests alternating between tears and laughter with her brilliantly constructed words for the ceremony. Lucy went above and beyond to make sure our day was everything we dreamed of – from the personal and intimate signing that we held before the ceremony, to greeting our guests on arrival, and coordinating the ceremony itself we will be forever grateful for her input and the memories she helped us create on our wedding day.
